Greetings Everyone!
I hope that you have all had a wonderful year! This is a very busy time of year for everyone, especially the SCAA board. Todd Gibson has been working diligently putting together a stellar program for the Annual Convention. We hope to see you there!
The board has also been working on the restructuring of the SCAA website. Lynn Lehman has been instrumental in negotiating with OceanBridge Communications to create an updated and interactive website to bring SCAA into the 21st century. Thank you, Lynn!
Earlier this year SCAA participated in The South Carolina Junior Academy of Science Winter Workshop held at The South Carolina State Museum. The workshop is open to all students in grades 8-12 throughout South Carolina and is a great forum to introduce middle and high school students to audiology as a career. We had a huge turnout! Lots of students expressed real interest in our field. Anyone interested in participating in the next workshop is more than welcome to attend and assist in educating these very eager students!
And as always…if you know any South Carolina audiologist who is not a member of SCAA please encourage them to join! I look forward to seeing you all in January!
