SCAA Scholarhip Guidelines

Au.D. scholarships sponsored by SCAA are awarded on an annual basis and given to a student currently matriculating in an official Au.D. program. The recipient must be a licensed practicing audiologist or full time student currently a resident of SC and eligible for membership in SCAA. The award is given in the amount of $500 and is non-renewable. Scholarship award also includes a one year student membership in SCAA.

Requirements:

The applicant must complete the application and submit with supporting documentation to the SCAA board no later than August 1st each year. The completed application should be mailed to SCAA, PMB 111, 8595 Pelham Road Suite 400, Greenville, SC 29615. The award will be presented at the annual meeting.

Proof of enrollment

The applicant must provide proof of enrollment in an official Au.D. program. Please include with your application a letter from the program director that documents your enrollment in the program.

Essay

Provide not more than a 500 word response to the following questions:

What influenced your decision to pursue a degree in the field of audiology?
How do you plan to use your audiology degree and discuss any area of special interest that you have. Please include a statement regarding your connection to South Carolina

Attach a copy of your resume
SC drivers license or other proof of residence
